Interested in educating local teenagers about their paychecks and tax withholdings during NPW?

Then Sign Up for the APA Local Chapter NPW Regional Competition

Your Region May Become APA's NPW National Education Champions!

Sign up by September 19 for APA's only regional contest for National Payroll Week (NPW). A chance for chapter members to promote payroll literacy throughout the nation!

Right now, members of 143 APA local chapters in eight regions across the U.S. have volunteered for Money Matters National Education Day and are scheduling visits to local high schools or youth groups to teach them about their paychecks and tax withholdings.

You and members of your chapter can also participate in this major educational outreach event on Thursday, September 4, 2008.  It's easy! Just complete the fields at Money Matters National Education Day volunteer page, and you'll be automatically signed up to volunteer! Then contact your local high schools or youth groups to schedule your visit. It's that simple!

To make it even easier for you, a special curriculum has already been created.  Once you sign up, you'll be automatically directed to the volunteer portal where the materials are available to download.. The teaching materials were developed in conjunction with the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE).  APA will recognize Thursday, September 4, 2008, as Money Matters National Education Day.

After NPW, visit this page to submit your entry for the contest. The region with the most chapter members who participated in the contest will be crowned "NPW National Education Champions" and will receive special recognition in the January 2009 issue of PAYTECH.
