Thank you for volunteering for PayrollOrg’s Money Matters program. This initiative remains one of PayrollOrg’s most impactful efforts each year in celebration of National Payroll Week. Money Matters empowers volunteers to bring financial education to students anytime throughout the school year.

By participating in Money Matters, you’ll join hundreds of PAYO members and volunteers nationwide who are helping young people understand the fundamentals of their paychecks. The Money Matters lesson focuses on key topics including how to read a paycheck, completing the Form W4, and modern electronic payment methods such as direct deposit and paycards. The dedicated “Payroll as a Career” section provides students with insights into the profession and encourages them to consider payroll as a meaningful and rewarding career path.

As you begin your planning, we encourage you to reach out early to local schools and community organizations using the Letter to School Principle template above to secure presentation opportunities. The Money Matters curriculum is designed to be flexible and effective in both in person and virtual environments. Use the lesson plan to help educators and community leaders understand the essential role financial literacy plays in preparing today’s youth for the workforce.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, your time, and your commitment to educating the next generation. Your efforts help empower future workers and strengthen the payroll community.

Sincerely,
